Welcome to
Katikati Croquet Club

Katikati, known as ‘the Mural Town of New Zealand’, is also home to a thriving croquet club. Situated in the Bay of Plenty between Tauranga and Waihi, Katikati is a farming town with, principally, kiwifruit and avocado orcharding as its main local industries.

Katikati is close to Tauranga Harbour and Waihi Beach, is a popular district for retired folk seeking a congenial climate and conveniently lies within two hours’ drive of four cities.

Croquet has been played in Katikati since before the Second World War. The club has five full-size greens and a comfortable, recently-renovated club house situated among lovely old-established trees in the Hunter Reserve, with a splendid view to the ever-changing colours of the Kaimai Range to the west.

Our club is home to both Association and Golf Croquet and we also host a popular business house croquet competition, which attracts friendly rivalry between business houses in the Katikati area.

Croquet is becoming increasingly popular and is an ideal game for young and old, men and women …  it is one of the few games in which men and women can play together on an even footing.

We welcome new members and casual visitors (in flat shoes!).
